These stocks defy market mood, gain in today's trade

NEW DELHI: The domestic equity index BSE Sensex was trading 1,067.48 points down at 38,678.18 on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.

Shares of MPS Infotecnics (up 100.00 per cent), Goenka Diamond (up 20.00 per cent), Gammon Infra (up 16.67 per cent), Bil Energy Sys (up 10.00 per cent) and Ortel Communications (up 10.00 per cent) were among the top performers.

Ravi Kumar Dist (up 10.00 per cent), Vishnu Chem (up 7.30 per cent), Manaksia Coated (up 7.25 per cent), Prakash Constro (up 6.67 per cent) and Damodar (up 5.70 per cent) too were trading 5-10 per cent higher at around the same time.


The Nifty 50 index was trading 320.45 points down at 11,312.85. Among the components in the Nifty index, all 50 were trading in the red.
