Share market update: Vakrangee, JP Associates most traded stocks on NSE

NEW DELHI: The counter of Vakrangee, with over 1.73 crore share changing hands, was buzzing as the most traded stock on NSE during early trade on Monday.

JP Associates (number of shares traded: 1.19 crore) and Reliance Communications (1.10 crore) were up next in the league.

Idea Cellular (0.70 crore), Suzlon Energy (0.64 crore), IDBI Bank (0.45 crore), Vedanta (0.39 crore), Sun Pharma (0.37 crore), Punjab National Bank (0.37 crore) and IFCI (0.34 crore) were also among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange in that order.


Equity benchmarks were almost flat on profit-booking amid mixed Asian cues on worries over a US-China trade war.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 5 points down at 10,817, while the BSE Sensex was down 14 points at 35,676 around 10 am.

In the Nifty index, 24 stocks were in the green, while 26 were in the red.

Vedanta, UltraTech Cement, Infosys, Sun Pharma and Lupin were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack of stocks.

On the other hand, Tata Motors, BPCL, Indian Oil Corporation, NTPC and HPCL were trading among the top losers in the Nifty index.
