Share market update: Tyre stocks mixed; Balkrishna Inds climbs 3%

NEW DELHI: Tyre stocks were trading on a mixed note in Wednesday's afternoon session.
Shares of Goa Carbon (up 4.99 per cent), Balkrishna Industries (up 2.47 per cent), Oriental Carbon & Chem (up 1.12 per cent), Phillips Carbon (up 0.44 per cent) and Apollo Tyres (up 0.16 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Govind Rubber (down 1.81 per cent), CEAT (down 1.33 per cent), J K Tyre & Industries (down 1.26 per cent), MRF (down 0.80 per cent), Goodyear India (down 0.56 per cent), Krypton Industries (down 0.18 per cent) and TVS Srichakra (down 0.03 per cent) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 47.75 points down at 12005.2, while the 30 shares BSE Sensex was down 128.04 points at 40741.43 at around 02:45 pm.
