Share market update: Tyre stocks mixed; Apollo Tyres gains 4%

The 30 shares BSE Sensex was up 283.24 points at 41589.26.

Phillips Carbon (up 5.05 per cent), Goa Carbon (up 4.98 per cent), Goodyear India (up 4.80 per cent) and Apollo Tyres (up 3.98 per cent) were the top gainers among tyre stocks.

NEW DELHI: Tyre stocks were trading on a mixed note in Thursday's afternoon session.

Shares of Phillips Carbon (up 5.05 per cent), Goa Carbon (up 4.98 per cent), Goodyear India (up 4.80 per cent), Apollo Tyres (up 3.98 per cent), J K Tyre & Industries (up 2.39 per cent), CEAT (up 1.51 per cent) and MRF (up 0.95 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Tirupati Tyres (down 4.55 per cent), Oriental Carbon & Chem (down 1.27 per cent), Balkrishna Industries (down 1.19 per cent) and TVS Srichakra (down 0.21 per cent) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty-50 index was trading 89.70 points up at 12272.2, while the 30 shares BSE Sensex was up 283.24 points at 41589.26 at around 02:55 pm.
