Share market update: Tyre stocks advance; Ceat rises 1%

Krypton Industries (up 3.06 per cent), Govind Rubber (up 1.52 per cent), TVS Srichakra (up 1.28 per cent) and CEAT (up 1.04 per cent) were the top gainers among tyre stocks

NEW DELHI: Tyre stocks were trading on a positive note in Tuesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Krypton Industries (up 3.06 per cent), Govind Rubber (up 1.52 per cent), TVS Srichakra (up 1.28 per cent), CEAT (up 1.04 per cent), Goodyear India (up 1.02 per cent), Goa Carbon (up 0.78 per cent), Balkrishna Industries (up 0.67 per cent), Phillips Carbon (up 0.26 per cent) and MRF (up 0.12 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Oriental Carbon & Chem (down 1.26 per cent), Apollo Tyres (down 0.61 per cent) and J K Tyre & Industries (down 0.48 per cent) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty 50 index was trading 20.50 points down at 12242.25, while the 30 shares BSE Sensex was down 84.27 points at 41558.39 at around 01:50 pm.
