Share market update: These stocks crack over 3% on NSE despite positive market sentiment

In the Nifty index, 25 stocks were in the green and 25 in the red.

NEW DELHI: Even as equity markets were in the positive terrain, shares of InterGlobe Aviation (down 3.95 per cent), Quess Corp (down 3.36 per cent), Tata Global Beverages (down 3.20 per cent), UCO Bank (down 3.19 per cent) and Firstsource Solutions (down 3.02 per cent) tanked over 3 per cent on NSE during Wednesday's morning session.

Stocks such as Avanti Feeds (down 2.32 per cent), Kansai Nerolac (down 2.23 per cent), Sterlite Tech (down 2.15 per cent), NALCO (down 2.08 per cent) and Apollo Tyres (down 2.05 per cent) were suffering losses of over 2 per cent.

Equity markets were up on value-buying in select bluechips amid a strengthening rupee.


The NSE Nifty index was trading 22 points up at 10,733, while the BSE Sensex was up 99 points at 35,385 around 10:20 am.

Realty, bank, financial and media counters were witnessing buying interest.

In the Nifty index, 25 stocks were in the green and 25 in the red.

Cipla, Zee Entertainment and Vedanta were leading among the Nifty gainers.

On the other hand, Indian Oil Corporation, UPL, BPCL and HPCL were among the top losers in the Nifty index.
