Share market update: Sugar stocks up; DCM Shriram Ind jumps 6%

NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading on a positive note in Tuesday's afternoon session.
Shares of DCM Shriram Industries (up 5.98 per cent), EID Parry (up 5.61 per cent), Simbhaoli Sugars (up 5.00 per cent), Rana Sugars (up 4.88 per cent) and Sir Shadi Lal Enterprises (up 4.87 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Dharani Sugars & Chemicals (down 5.00 per cent), Indian Sucrose (down 3.27 per cent), Shree Renuka Sugars (down 2.50 per cent), Mawana Sugars (down 1.61 per cent) and Dhampure Specialty Sugars (down 1.22 per cent) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 140.55 points up at 11387.65, while the 30 share BSE Sensex was up 479.51 points at 38530.29 at around 03:05PM.
