Share market update: Sugar stocks slide; Rajshree Sugars slips 7%

NEW DELHI: Sugar shares were trading with losses in Thursday's afternoon session.

Shares of Gayatri Sugars (up 4.26 per cent), K.M.Sugar Mills (up 2.83 per cent), Piccadily Sugar & Allied Inds (up 1.50 per cent) and Ugar Sugar Works (up 0.29 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Rajshree Sugars & Chemicals (down 7.62 per cent), AVADHSUGAR (down 7.44 per cent), Dharani Sugars & Chemicals (down 6.54 per cent), MAGADHSUGAR (down 5.99 per cent), Vishwaraj Sugar Industries (down 5.58 per cent), EID Parry (down 5.11 per cent), Dhampure Specialty Sugars (down 4.98 per cent), Mawana Sugars (down 4.97 per cent), Uttam Sugar Mills (down 4.96 per cent), Simbhaoli Sugars (down 4.82 per cent), Dalmia Bharat Sugar & Industries (down 4.77 per cent), Shree Renuka Sugars (down 4.10 per cent), Sir Shadi Lal Enterprises (down 4.05 per cent), BAJAJHIND (down 3.74 per cent), Piccadily Agro Industries (down 3.55 per cent), Dhampur Sugar Mills (down 3.36 per cent), Kesar Enterprise (down 3.35 per cent), Balrampur Chini Mills (down 3.13 per cent), SBEC Sugar (down 2.38 per cent) and Bannari Amman Sugars (down 1.94 per cent) were among the top losers.


The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 79.65 points up at 8548.45 , while the 30share BSE Sensex was up 423.02 points at 29292.53 at around 02:16 pm.
