Share market update: Sugar stocks gain; K.M Sugar Mills soars 13%

NEW DELHI: Sugar stocks were trading on a positive note in Thursday's afternoon session.
Shares of K.M.Sugar Mills (up 13.28 per cent), Indian Sucrose (up 7.21 per cent), Gayatri Sugars (up 5.00 per cent), Rana Sugars (up 4.95 per cent) and Dhampure Specialty Sugars (up 4.92 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Thiru Arooran Sugars (down 4.97 per cent), Sir Shadi Lal Enterprises (down 4.62 per cent), SBEC Sugar (down 4.26 per cent), PARVATI (down 2.44 per cent) and EID Parry (down 2.07 per cent) were among the top losers.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 88.75 points down at 11319.65, while the 30 share BSE Sensex was down 367.04 points at 38247.75 at around 02:42PM.
