Share Market update: Smallcap stocks rise; RTN Power spikes 20%

NEW DELHI: Smallcap stocks were trading with gains in Monday's afternoon session.

Shares of RTN Power (up 19.78 per cent), PPAP Automotive Ltd (up 18.71 per cent), NILA Infrastructure (up 18.54 per cent), Nucleus Software Exports (up 16.83 per cent) and VA Tech Wabag (up 16.72 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Vimta Labs (down 9.7 per cent), Man Infraconstruction (down 9.64 per cent), Nath BioGenes (India) Ltd (down 8.88 per cent), Birla Corporation (down 7.17 per cent) and Neogen Chemicals (down 5.0 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE SmallCap index was trading 1.31 per cent up at 13847.15 around 02:30PM.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 62.30 points at 11276.35, while the BSE Sensex was up 169.28 points at 38209.85.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, BHEL, BEL and Alok Industries were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
