Share market update: Realty shares slip; Unitech slumps 4%

NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading in the red in Tuesday's morning session.

Shares of Unitech (down 4.17 per cent), Sobha (down 2.39 per cent) and Phoenix Mills (down 2.14 per cent) were the worst performers in the index.

Godrej Properties (down 1.86 per cent), DLF (down 0.79 per cent) and Brigade Enterprises (down 0.20 per cent) too were trading in the red.


The Nifty Realty index was trading 0.47 per cent down at 223.30 around 10:49 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 1.25 points at 10,887.55 while the BSE Sensex was down 17.65 points at 36,377.38.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 31 were trading in the green, while 19 were in the red.

Shares of NHPC, YES Bank, Vodaofne Idea, Axis Bank, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, SAIL, Ashok Leyland, NTPC and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
