Share market update: Realty shares slip; Unitech down 3%

NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading in the negative zone in Wednesday's morning session.

Shares of Phoenix Mills (down 3.18 per cent), Unitech (down 3.13 per cent), Prestige Estates Projects (down 1.67 per cent) and Oberoi Realty (down 1.57 per cent) were the worst performers in the index.

Godrej Properties (down 0.77 per cent), DLF (down 0.76 per cent) and Sobha (down 0.50 per cent) too were trading lower.


The Nifty Realty index was trading 1.01 per cent down at 225.90 around 11:06 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 16.50 points at 10,635.70 while the BSE Sensex was down 28.70 points at 35,563.80.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 29 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Axis Bank, Bank of Baroda, ICICI Bank, Ashok Leyland, SBI, Zee Entertainment, Indiabulls Housing Finance and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
