Share market update: Realty shares climb; Sobha gains 5%

NEW DELHI: Realty shares were trading higher in Wednesday's session.

Shares of SOBHA (up​ 5.0 per cent)​, Indiabulls Real Estate (up​ 4.99 per cent)​, Oberoi Realty (up​ 4.96 per cent)​, Prestige Estates Projects (up​ 4.49 per cent)​, Phoenix Mills (up​ 4.31 per cent)​, Brigade Enterprises (up​ 1.82 per cent)​, Mahindra Lifespace Developers (up​ 1.47 per cent)​, DLF (up​ 0.54 per cent)​, Sunteck Realty (up​ 0.47 per cent)​ and Godrej Properties (up​ 0.13 per cent)​ were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Realty index was trading 2.09 per cent up at 180.4 around 01:10 pm.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 182.00 points at 9175.85 , while the BSE Sensex was up 558.83 points at 31248.85 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 were trading in the green, while 8 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, SBI, Ashok Leyland, Hindalco Inds., ITC, Motherson Sumi, YES Bank, Axis Bank and ICICI Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
