The Nifty index was trading 294.10 points down at 8303.65.
NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 1024.78 points down at 28443.71 on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Shares of Tasty Dairy Specialities (down 18.82 per cent), Mahalaxmi Rubber (down 15.24 per cent), Media Matrix (down 11.14 per cent), Blue Chip Textiles (down 10.47 per cent), Dynamic Cables (down 10.34 per cent), Sheetal Cool Products (down 10.01 per cent), Suyog Telematics (down 9.99 per cent), Valiant Communications (down 9.97 per cent), ISMT Ltd (down 9.96 per cent), Chothani Foods (down 9.84 per cent), PVR (down 7.51 per cent), City Union Bank (down 7.17 per cent) were among the top losers.
