Share market update: PSU bank shares slip; Bank of India falls 3%

NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading in the negative zone in Friday's morning session.

Shares of Bank of India (down 3.32 per cent), Union Bank of India (down 2.21 per cent), Indian Bank (down 1.81 per cent) and Canara Bank (down 1.53 per cent) were tradng lower.

Bank of Baroda (down 1.36 per cent), Oriental Bank of Commerce (down 1.04 per cent), Syndicate Bank (down 1.02 per cent) and Central Bank of India (down 0.51 per cent) too were trading with losses.


The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 1.03 per cent down at 2373.50 around 11:13 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 45.95 points at 11,525.25 while the BSE Sensex was down 124.61 points at 38,865.13.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Dish TV India, Tata Motors, GMR Infra, NMDC, SBI, SAIL, Vodafone Idea, ZEEL and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
