Share market update: PSU bank shares mixed; OBC rises 1%

NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading on a mixed in Tuesday's morning session.

Shares of Oriental Bank of Commerce (up 0.92 per cent), J & K Bank (up 0.68 per cent), Indian Bank (up 0.63 per cent), Central Bank of India (up 0.55 per cent) and Punjab National Bank (up 0.16 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Syndicate Bank (down 0.72 per cent), Allahabad Bank (down 0.53 per cent), State Bank of India (down 0.32 per cent), Canara Bank (down 0.21 per cent), Union Bank of India (down 0.19 per cent) and Bank of Baroda (down 0.11 per cent) were the top losers.


The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.15 per cent down at 2411.35 around 10:44 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 39.60 points at 12184.95 , while the BSE Sensex was down 140.99 points at 41,387.92.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 17 were trading in the green, while 32 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Federal Bank, Indian Oil Corp, SBI, Bharti Infratel, JSPL, SAIL, Bharti Airtel and NBCC were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
