Share market update: PSU Bank shares gain; OBC rises over 1%

NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading with gains in Monday's morning session.

Shares of Oriental Bank of Commerce (up 1.37 per cent) , State Bank of India (up 1.01 per cent) , Indian Bank (up 0.83 per cent) and Syndicate Bank (up 0.74 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Canara Bank (up 0.70 per cent) , Union Bank of India (up 0.54 per cent) , Punjab National Bank (up 0.32 per cent) and Bank of Baroda (up 0.29 per cent) too were trading with gains.


The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.21 per cent up at 3114.55 around 09:58 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 81.30 points at 11,951.95 while the BSE Sensex was up 278.79 points at 39,894.69.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 41 were trading in the green, while 9 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, PNB, Bank of Baroda, J&K Bank, Dish TV India, SBI, SAIL, Motherson Sumi and Tata Motors were among the most traded securities on the NSE.
