Share market update: PSU Bank shares down; Indian Bank dips 2%

NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading in the negative zone in Friday's morning session.

The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.76 per cent down at 2727.90 around 10:19 am.

Shares of Indian Bank (down 2.34 per cent), Canara Bank (down 1.86 per cent), Syndicate Bank (down 1.55 per cent) and

Oriental Bank of Commerce (down 1.36 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

IDBI Bank (down 1.11 per cent), Bank of India (down 1.03 per cent) and Union Bank of India (down 0.99 per cent) too were trading with losses.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 52.80 points at 10,693.25 while the BSE Sensex was down 133.63 points at 35,742.59.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 12 were trading in the green, while 38 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, ONGC, Ashok Leyland, ITC, SBI, Vodaofne Idea, ICICI Bank, Vedanta, Indian Oil Corp, Tata Motors, Axis Bank and Sun Pharma were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
