Share market update: PSU bank shares dip; OBC down 1%

NEW DELHI: Shares of PSU banks were trading lower in Wednesday's morning session.

Shares of Oriental Bank of Commerce (down 1.0 per cent) , Syndicate Bank (down 0.9 per cent) , Union Bank of India (down 0.68 per cent) , Bank of Baroda (down 0.37 per cent) , Indian Bank (down 0.33 per cent) , Punjab National Bank (down 0.33 per cent) , Bank of India (down 0.3 per cent) , Allahabad Bank (down 0.27 per cent) and Canara Bank (down 0.25 per cent) were the top losers in the index.

The Nifty PSU Bank index was trading 0.15 per cent down at 2409.15 around 10:46 am.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 21.20 points at 12148.65 , while the BSE Sensex was down 50.9 points at 41,272.91.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 25 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Zee Ent., Tata Motors, ONGC, Bharti Airtel, Ashok Leyland, SBI, Havells India and JSPL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
