Share market update: Private Bank shares rise; DCB Bank up 2%

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 15 were trading in the green, while 35 were in the red.
NEW DELHI: Shares of Private banks were trading with gains in Wednesday's afternoon session.

Shares of DCB Bank (up 2.18 per cent), YES Bank (up 1.64 per cent), RBL Bank (up 1.30 per cent) and Federal Bank (up 0.28 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Kotak Mahindra Bank (up 0.25 per cent), HDFC Bank (up 0.22 per cent), ICICI Bank (up 0.09 per cent) and IndusInd Bank (up 0.01 per cent) too were trading higher.


The Nifty Private Bank index was trading 0.06 per cent up at 16,912.20 around 12:16 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 50.05 points at 11,505.85 while the BSE Sensex was down 162.66 points at 38,568.16.

Shares of YES Bank, Adani Power, Vodafone Idea, SAIL, Dish TV India, Tata Motors, PNB, REC, SBI and Tata Steel were among the most traded shares on the National Stock Exchange.
