Share market update: Pharma shares up; Aurobindo Pharma gains 2%

NEW DELHI: Pharma shares were trading higher in Tuesday's session with their sectoral index trading up.

Shares of Aurobindo Pharma (up 1.61 per cent) , Divi's Laboratories (up 0.87 per cent) , Biocon (up 0.58 per cent) , Cipla (up 0.46 per cent) , Cadila Healthcare (up 0.45 per cent) , Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 0.31 per cent) , Torrent Pharmaceuticals (up 0.12 per cent) and Alkem Laboratories (up 0.02 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.19 per cent up at 9920.35 around 12:04PM.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 54.70 points at 10708.95, while the BSE Sensex was down 149.27 points at 36338.01.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 14 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, BHEL, Tata Motors, NBCC , SAIL, M&M Financial, Ashok Leyland, SBI, RBL Bank Ltd. and BEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
