Share market update: Pharma shares gain; Piramal Enterprises up 1%

NEW DELHI: Pharma shares were trading with gains in Tuesday's morning trading session.

Shares of Piramal Enterprises (up 1.25 per cent), Lupin (up 1.07 per cent), Cadila Healthcare (up 0.88 per cent) and Aurobindo Pharma (up 0.55 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.

Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (up 0.41 per cent), Biocon (up 0.36 per cent) and Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 0.34 per cent) too were trading in the green.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 95.10 points at 10,832.70 while the BSE Sensex was up 323.19 points at 36,176.75.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.50 per cent up at 8994.45 around 10:49 am on Tuesday.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 42 were trading in the green, while 7 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Infosys, Wipro, Tata Motors, RIL, Ashok Leyland, ICICI Bank, L&T Fin Holding and SBI were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
