Share market update: Pharma shares gain; Divi's Lab rises 3%

NEW DELHI: Pharma shares were trading in the positive zone in Saturday's morning session with their sectoral index trading higher ahead of Union Budget scheduled to be announced today.

Shares of Divi's Laboratories (up 2.55 per cent), Piramal Enterprises (up 1.36 per cent), Glenmark Pharmaceuticals (up 1.16 per cent), Aurobindo Pharma (up 0.61 per cent), Lupin (up 0.57 per cent), Dr Reddys Laboratories (up 0.46 per cent), Cadila Healthcare (up 0.43 per cent) and Biocon (up 0.22 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.6 per cent up at 8187.2 around 10:05 am.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 7.55 points at 11969.65 , while the BSE Sensex was up 37.09 points at 40760.58 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Tata Motors, SBI, PowerGrid, ONGC, BEL, IRB InvIT Fund, Coal India Ltd and GMR Infra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
