Share market update: Pharma shares gain; Cadila Healthcare climbs 3%

NEW DELHI: Pharma shares were trading with gains in Thursday's morning session with their sectoral index trading higher.

Shares of Cadila Healthcare (up​ 3.4 per cent)​, Divi's Laboratories (up​ 1.68 per cent)​, Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up​ 1.41 per cent)​, Dr Reddys Laboratories (up​ 1.0 per cent)​, Lupin (up​ 0.87 per cent)​, Biocon (up​ 0.72 per cent)​ and Aurobindo Pharma (up​ 0.25 per cent)​ were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.95 per cent up at 8163.35 around 10:01 am.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 10.80 points at 11261.8, while the BSE Sensex was up 56.39 points at 38465.87.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 25 were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Tata Motors, SBI, Ashok Leyland, Vedanta, GAIL, GMR Infra and SAIL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
