Share market update: Pharma shares advance; Sun Pharma rises 2%

NEW DELHI: Pharma shares were trading higher in Monday's session with their sectoral index trading up.

Shares of Divi's Laboratories (up 1.43 per cent) , Sun Pharmaceutical Industries (up 1.33 per cent) , Lupin (up 1.04 per cent) , Cadila Healthcare (up 0.59 per cent) , Torrent Pharmaceuticals (up 0.17 per cent) and Biocon (up 0.13 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Pharma index was trading 0.36 per cent up at 10108.05 around 03:09PM.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 37.20 points at 10805.25, while the BSE Sensex was up 112.86 points at 36707.19.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 30 were trading in the green, while 20 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, SAIL, Tata Motors, YES Bank, SBI, BHEL, Alok Industries, RIL and ICICI Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
