Share market update: ONGC , NHPC among top gainers on BSE

NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 357.96 points up at 28646.19 on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Shares of Saboo Sodium (up 20.00 per cent), Savera Industries (up 18.73 per cent), Sandesh Ltd (up 18.33 per cent), Prajay Engineering (up 18.31 per cent), Jindal Photo (up 17.75 per cent), Duncan Engineering (up 17.67 per cent), Bhagyanagar Ind (up 17.18 per cent), GMM Pfaudler (up 16.72 per cent), Indiabulls Housing Finance (up 16.68 per cent), Solitaire Machines (up 16.59 per cent), NHPC (up 15 per cent) and ONGC (up 14 per cent) were among the top performers.

The Nifty 50 index was trading 119.60 points up at 8383.05. Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 37 shares were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.
