Share market update: OMCs trade in the red; BPCL down 1%

NEW DELHI: OMCs were trading lower in Monday's session.

Shares of Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (down 1.59 per cent) , Bharat Petroleum Corporation (down 1.33 per cent) , Castrol India (down 1.24 per cent) and Indian Oil Corporation (down 1.07 per cent) were trading lower.

Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (down 1.03 per cent) , Gujarat State Petronet (down 0.44 per cent) , GAIL (India) (down 0.16 per cent) and Indraprastha Gas (down 0.07 per cent) were the top losers in the index.


The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.14 per cent up at 15176.67 around 10:57 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 0.05 points at 12,056.10, while the BSE Sensex was up 37.84 points at 40,831.65.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 36 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NCC, ZEEL, BHEL, Bank of Baroda, Bharti Airtel, GMR Infra and Ashok Leyland were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
