Share market update: OMCs trade in the green; IOC up over 1%

NEW DELHI: OMCs were in the green in Friday's afternoon session with their sectoral index on BSE trading higher.

Shares of Indian Oil Corporation (up 1.48 per cent) , Castrol India (up 1.44 per cent) , Indraprastha Gas (up 1.02 per cent) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (up 0.69 per cent) were trading higher.

Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 0.68 per cent) , GAIL (India) (up 0.26 per cent) and Oil India (up 0.14 per cent) too were trading with gains.


The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.39 per cent up at 14,765.66 around 12:00 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 36.55 points at 11,634.55 while the BSE Sensex was up 82.49 points at 38,767.21.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.

Shares of Reliance Communications, Vodafone Idea, DHFL, Cipla, ITC, Reliance Power, Suzlon Energy, PC Jeweller, Tata Motors and Laksmi Vilas Bank were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
