Share market update: OMCs trade in the green; GAIL, HPCL among top gainers

NEW DELHI: OMCs were trading in the green in Tuesday's session with their sectoral index on BSE trading higher.

Shares of Petronet LNG (up 4.61 per cent), GAIL (India) (up 2.81 per cent), Hindustan Petroleum Corporation (up 1.59 per cent) and Indian Oil Corporation (up 1.51 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Castrol India (up 1.48 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 1.01 per cent), Gujarat State Petronet (up 0.61 per cent) and Oil And Natural Gas Corporation (up 0.61 per cent) too were trading higher.


The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 1.31 per cent up at 13,175.35 around 10:55 am.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 64.15 points at 11,122 while the BSE Sensex was up 165.54 points at 37,659.66.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 37 were trading in the green, while 13 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, SBI, Ashok Leyland, Bharti Infratel, SAIL, DLF, Tata Motors, Bank of Baroda and BHEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
