Share market update: OMCs trade in the green; Castrol up 1%

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 33 were trading in the green, while 17 were in the red.
NEW DELHI: The BSE Oil & Gas index was trading flat in Thursday's morning session.
Shares of Gujarat State Petronet (up 1.97 per cent), Castrol India (up 0.92 per cent), Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (up 0.38 per cent), GAIL (India) (up 0.38 per cent), HPCL (up 0.36 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation (up 0.32 per cent) and Indraprastha Gas (up 0.02 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The S&P BSE Oil & Gas index was trading 0.04 per cent down at 12,647.01 around 10:41 am.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 38.65 points at 11,289.65, while the BSE Sensex was up 136.71 points at 38,546.19.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Spicejet, SBI, Tata Motors, HDFC Bank, BHEL, Tube Investments of India Ltd. and BEL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
