Share market update: Nifty Financial Services index up; Indiabulls Housing Finance surges 11%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Financial Services index was up with its components trading higher in Thursday's afternoon session.

The Nifty Financial Services index was trading 0.45 per cent up at 13,891.10 around 10:03 am.

Shares of Indiabulls Housing Finance (up 11.44 per cent) , Indiabulls Ventures (up 4.98 per cent) , Edelweiss Financial Services (up 4.97 per cent) and Shriram Transport Finance Company (up 1.97 per cent) were the top performers in the index.


Housing Development Finance Corporation (up 1.64 per cent) , ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company (up 1.33 per cent) , Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services (up 1.32 per cent) and State Bank of India (up 1.02 per cent) too were traidng higher.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 30.05 points at 11,996.10 while the BSE Sensex was up 131.08 points at 40,600.86.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 24 were trading in the green, while 26 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Indiabulls Housing Finance, NBCC , SBI, Bank of Baroda, L&T Fin Holding, PNB, DLF and JSPL were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
