Share market update: Nifty Financial Services index up; HDFC Life up 1%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Financial Services index was up with its components trading mixed in Thursday's afternoon session.

Shares of ICICI Bank (up 1.35 per cent) , HDFC Life Insurance Company (up 1.27 per cent) , ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company (up 0.85 per cent) and Mahindra & Mahindra Financial Services (up 0.73 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While REC (down 3.03 per cent ) , Power Finance Corporation (down 2.33 per cent ) , Axis Bank (down 1.26 per cent ) and ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company (down 0.54 per cent ) were the top losers in the index.


The Nifty Financial Services index was trading 0.20 per cent up at 14,010.70 around 12:17 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 8.95 points at 11,990.15, while the BSE Sensex was down 22.99 points at 40,628.65.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, NCC, ZEEL, SBI, SAIL, UCO Bank, RBL Bank, Bank of Baroda and Bharti Airtel were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
