Share market update: Nifty Financial Services index flat; Indiabulls Housing climbs 3%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Financial Services index was flat with its components trading higher in Friday's afternoon session.

Shares of Indiabulls Housing Finance Ltd (up 3.28 per cent) , Edelweiss Financial Services (up 2.9 per cent) , Shriram Transport Finance (up 2.42 per cent) , State Bank of India (up 2.19 per cent) , ICICI GI (up 1.45 per cent) , SBI Life (up 1.24 per cent) , Mahindra & Mahindra Financial (up 1.2 per cent) , Bajaj Finance (up 0.85 per cent) , ICICI Bank (up 0.63 per cent) , Power Finance Corporation (up 0.49 per cent) , HDFC LIFE INSURANCE (up 0.26 per cent) , Bajaj Finserv (up 0.24 per cent) and HDFC Bank (up 0.23 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The Nifty Financial Services index was trading 0.08 per cent up at 14,582.95 around 12:07 pm.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 19.80 points at 12279.5 , while the BSE Sensex was up 49.67 points at 41723.59 .

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 36 were trading in the green, while 14 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, SBI, SAIL, BHEL, Bank of Baroda, Tata Motors, JSPL and GMR Infra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
