Share market update: Nifty Financial Services index flat; Indiabulls Ventures falls 4%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty Financial Services index was flat with its components trading mixed in Friday's afternoon session.

Shares of Cholamandalam Investment & Finance Company (up 3.05 per cent), Bajaj Holdings & Investment (up 1.88 per cent), ICICI Prudential Life Insurance Company (up 1.85 per cent) and Bajaj Finance (up 1.55 per cent) were trading in the green.

Indiabulls Ventures (down 4.08 per cent), Edelweiss Financial Services (down 3.72 per cent), Indiabulls Housing Finance (down 3.13 per cent) and REC (down 2.60 per cent) were trading with losses.


The Nifty Financial Services index was trading flat at 13,285.35 around 12:35 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was down 45.20 points at 11,526 while the BSE Sensex was down 123.44 points at 38,866.3.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 13 were trading in the green, while 37 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Dish TV India, Tata Motors, GMR Infra, SBI, NMDC, SAIL, ZEEL, Ashok Leyland and Vodafone Idea were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
