Share market update: Nifty CPSE index advacnes; Indian Oil gain 1%

NEW DELHI: The Nifty CPSE index was trading on a positive note with all its components in the green in Monday's afternoon session.

Shares of Coal India (up 2.07 per cent), Power Finance Corporation (up 2.06 per cent), Indian Oil Corporation (up 1.39 per cent), NLC India (up 1.31 per cent) and REC Ltd. (up 1.12 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Oil & Natural Gas Corporation (up 0.89 per cent), Bharat Electronics (up 0.82 per cent), NTPC (up 0.37 per cent), SJVN Ltd. (up 0.19 per cent) and Oil India (up 0.16 per cent) were the other gainers in the index.


The Nifty CPSE index was trading 1.2 per cent up at 1942.25 around 12:13 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty-50 index was up 67.10 points at 12323.9, while the BSE Sensex was up 252.24 points at 41851.96.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 34 were trading in the green, while 16 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Infosys, Tata Motors, SAIL, BHEL, SBI, Bank of Baroda, Indiabulls Housing Finance and PowerGrid Corp were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
