Share market update: NIACL, Bajaj Consumer among top gainers on BSE

NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 62.59 points up at 38,661.58 on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.

Shares of Garden Silk Mills (up 19.96 per cent), Hotel Leela (up 19.87 per cent) , Speciality Restaurants (up 16.92 per cent) , Akar Auto Industries (up 15.56 per cent) , Beardsell Ltd (up 15.38 per cent) , Bajaj Consumer (up 14.60 per cent) , Kkalpana lndustries (up 13.47 per cent) , Trans & Rectif (up 13.20 per cent) , Venus Remedies (up 13.19 per cent), SIL Investments (up 13.12 per cent) and The New India Assurance Company (up 9.89 per cent) were among the top performers.

The Nifty 50 index was trading 5.20 points up at 11,469.20. Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 26 shares were trading in the green, while 24 were in the red.
