Share market update: NBFC stocks rise; Indiabulls Housing surges 18%

NEW DELHI: Shares of non-banking financial companies (NBFC) were trading with gains in Tuesday's afternoon session.
Indiabulls Housing Finance (up 18.10 per cent) , Baid Leasing & Finance Co (up 9.81 per cent) , LIC Housing Finance (up 5.97 per cent) , Muthoot Finance (up 5.53 per cent) , L&T Finance Holdings (up 5.31 per cent), Edelweiss Financial Services (up 4.99 per cent) , SRG Housing Finance (up 4.97 per cent) , Sahara Housing (up 4.91 per cent) , AIIL (up 4.89 per cent) , Mahindra & Mahindra Financial (up 4.88 per cent) , Reliance Home (up 4.85 per cent) and Reliance Capital (up 4.78 per cent) were the top gainers in the index.
GIC Housing Finance (up 3.91 per cent) , Cholamandalam Investment & Finance (up 3.06 per cent) , Magma Fincorp (up 2.97 per cent) , VLS Finance (up 2.66 per cent) , Shriram Transport Finance (up 2.05 per cent) , PNB Housing Finance (up 2.03 per cent), Bajaj Finance (up 1.98 per cent) , SREI Infrastructure Finance (up 1.67 per cent) , HUDCO (up 1.55 per cent) , Bajaj Finserv (up 1.52 per cent) , Muthoot Capital Services (up 1.43 per cent) , Manappuram (up 0.82 per cent) , HDFC (up 0.69 per cent) and Paisalo Digital (up 0.46 per cent) too were trading higher.
Meanwhile, ASHFL (down 5.47 per cent) , Ind Bank Housing (down 5.25 per cent) , Dewan Housing Finance Corporation (down 4.79 per cent) , Spandana Sphoorty Financial (down 3.22 per cent) , Religare Enterprises (down 2.98 per cent) , Centrum Capital (down 2.15 per cent) , Garnet International (down 1.86 per cent) , Mas Financial Services (down 1.74 per cent), Aavas (down 1.44 per cent), Can Fin Homes (down 1.33 per cent) and Shriram City Union Finance (down 1.27 per cent) were trading lower.
The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 175.60 points up at 11,802.75 while the BSE Sensex was up 638.24 points at 39,888.44 at around 02:03 pm.
Indiabulls Housing Finance (up 18.19 per cent) , Tata Motors (up 15.81 per cent) , YES Bank (up 8.49 per cent) and JSW Steel (up 6.11 per cent) were among the top gainers in the Nifty pack.
On the other hand, Bharti Infratel (down 8.74 per cent) , Bharti Airtel (down 4.62 per cent) , UltraTech Cement (down 1.80 per cent) and Kotak Mahindra Bank (down 0.65 per cent) were trading in the red.
