Share market update: MMTC, Uflex among top gainers on BSE
Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 37 shares were trading in the green, while 12 were in the red.

NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 118.92 points up at 40,898.51 on account of buying in frontline bluechip counters.
Shares of TCI Finance (up 19.95 per cent) , Asian Hotels (E) (up 18.63 per cent) , Sakthi Sugars (up 17.71 per cent) , Bal Pharma (up 17.50 per cent) , MMTC (up 15.88 per cent) , Sundaram Multi (up 14.17 per cent) , Kkalpana lndustries (up 13.47 per cent) , Sarla Perform (up 10.45 per cent) , Vaswani Ind (up 9.95 per cent), Sanghvi Movers (up 9.81 per cent) and Uflex (up 5.65 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty 50 index was trading 28 points up at 12,046.40.
