Share market update: Mining stocks mixed; Shiva Granito skyrockets 20%

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading on a mixed note in Thursday's afternoon session.

Shares of Shiva Granito (up 20 per cent), Divyashakti Granites (up 6 per cent), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation (up 5.60 per cent), Shirpur Gold Refinery (up 4.93 per cent), Glittek Granites (up 4.76 per cent), Orissa Minerals Development Company (up 4.71 per cent) and Oriental Trimex (up 2.05 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Ceeta Industries (down 4.76 per cent), Pokarna (down 2.88 per cent), Madhav Marbles and Granites (down 2.82 per cent), Inani Marbles (down 1.91 per cent), SVC Resources (down 1.75 per cent), Ashapura Minechem (down 1.25 per cent), National Mineral Development Corp (down 1.19 per cent) and Coal India (down 0.62 per cent) were among the top losers.


The NSE Nifty-50 index was trading 177.05 points up at 12202.4, while the 30 shares BSE Sensex was up 587.96 points at 41405.7 at around 01:36 pm.
