Share market update: Mining stocks gain; MOIL climbs 6%

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading on a positive note in Monday's afternoon session.

Shares of Deccan Gold Mines (up 16.58 per cent), Madhav Marbles and Granites (up 8.74 per cent), Aro Granite Industries (up 8.55 per cent), MOIL (up 5.47 per cent), Shirpur Gold Refinery (up 4.95 per cent) were among the top gainers.

Ashapura Minechem (up 4.87 per cent), 20 Microns (up 3.49 per cent), Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores (up 2.99 per cent), Coal India (up 2.63 per cent) and Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation (up 2.37 per cent) were the other gainers among mining stocks.


While Inani Marbles (down 1.96 per cent), Moryo Industries (down 1.91 per cent), Divyashakti Granites (down 0.75 per cent), Pokarna (down 0.21 per cent) and ASI Inds (down 0.09 per cent) were among the top losers.

The NSE Nifty-50 index was trading 42.00 points up at 12298.8, while the 30 shares BSE Sensex was up 147.57 points at 41747.29 at around 02:15 pm.
