Share market update: Mining stocks gain; Ashapura Minechem gains 5%

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading on a positive note in Tuesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Madhav Marbles and Granites (up 14.94 per cent), Elegant Marbles (up 5.00 per cent), Shirpur Gold Refinery (up 4.99 per cent), Pacific Industries (up 4.98 per cent), Ashapura Minechem (up 4.95 per cent), Sandur Manganese & Iron Ores (up 4.84 per cent), Orissa Minerals Development Company (up 4.33 per cent) and Inani Marbles (up 4.08 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Deccan Gold Mines (down 4.68 per cent), Divyashakti Granites (down 3.35 per cent), Pokarna (down 3.11 per cent), Moryo Industries (down 1.95 per cent), Auroma Coke (down 1.28 per cent), MOIL (down 1.01 per cent) and KIOCL (down 0.88 per cent) were among the top losers.


The NSE Nifty-50 index was trading 28.35 points up at 12357.9, while the 30 shares BSE Sensex was up 83.61 points at 41943.3 at around 02:45 pm.
