Share market update: Mining stocks advance; Shirpur Gold Refinery climbs 5%

NEW DELHI: Mining stocks were trading with gains in Thursday's afternoon session.

Pokarna (up 4.97 per cent), Shirpur Gold Refinery (up 4.95 per cent), Pacific Industries (up 4.56 per cent), Glittek Granites (up 4.50 per cent), Orissa Minerals Development Company (up 3.25 per cent), ASI Inds (up 1.56 per cent), Gujarat Mineral Dvpt Corporation (up 1.43 per cent), Aro Granite Industries (up 1.24 per cent), 20 Microns (up 1.19 per cent) and KIOCL (up 0.85 per cent) were among the top gainers.

The NSE Nifty50 index was trading 63.55 points up at 12170.45 , while the 30-share BSE Sensex was up 227.99 points at 41343.37 at around 02:06 pm.


Larsen & Toubro (up 2.54 per cent), Mahindra & Mahindra (up 2.18 per cent) and State Bank of India (up 2.15 per cent) were among the top gainers in the Sensex pack.

On the other hand, Bajaj Finance (down 1.2 per cent), Asian Paints (down 1.02 per cent), Tech Mahindra (down 0.94 per cent) and Power Grid Corporation of India (down 0.75 per cent) were trading in the red.
