Share market update: Media shares up; Zee Media jumps over 3%

NEW DELHI: Most Media shares were trading higher in Tuesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Zee Media Corporation (up 3.33 per cent), PVR (up 1.36 per cent), Jagran Prakashan (up 1.33 per cent) and DB Corp (up 0.98 per cent) were the top performers in the index.

Inox Leisure (up 0.97 per cent), TV Today Network (up 0.81 per cent), Den Networks (up 0.74 per cent) and Navneet Education (up 0.09 per cent) too were trading in the green.


Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 76.15 points at 11,775.80 while the BSE Sensex was up 237.26 points at 39,360.22.

The Nifty Media index was trading 0.10 per cent up at 2040.10 around 02:04 pm.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 were trading in the green, while 12 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, Dish TV India, ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company, Ashok Leyland, SAIL, ZEEL, PNB, NTPC and Motherson Sumi were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
