Share market update: Media shares mixed; Eros International slumps 5%

NEW DELHI: Most Media shares were trading on a mixed note in Thursday's afternoon session.

Shares of Dish TV India (up 3.47 per cent), TV Today Network (up 2.68 per cent), DB Corp (up 2.15 per cent) and Den Networks (up 2.09 per cent) were trading with gains.

Eros International Media (down 4.99 per cent), Sun TV Network (down 3.11 per cent), Hathway Cable & Datacom (down 1.46 per cent) and Zee Entertainment Enterprises (down 0.98 per cent) were trading in the red.


The Nifty Media index was trading 0.52 per cent down at 2043.30 around 02:29 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 21.65 points at 11,869.20 while the BSE Sensex was up 76.72 points at 39,668.8.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 32 were trading in the green, while 18 were in the red.

Shares of Vodafone Idea, YES Bank, Dish TV India, Tata Motors, Bank of Baroda, SBI, Ashok Leyland, PNB, Motherson Sumi and TV18 Broadcast were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
