Share market update: Media shares dip; Zee Media falls over 6%

NEW DELHI: Media shares were trading with losses in Wednesday's afternoon session.

Shares of Zee Media Corporation (down 6.30 per cent), Eros International Media (down 4.97 per cent), TV18 Broadcast (down 4.48 per cent) and TV Today Network (down 3.49 per cent) were trading with losses.

DB Corp (down 2.51 per cent), Navneet Education (down 1.47 per cent), Network 18 Media & Investments (down 1.11 per cent) and Den Networks (down 1.06 per cent) too were trading in the red.


Meanwhile, the Nifty Media index was trading 0.34 per cent up at 2058.15 around 12:33 pm.

Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 15.15 points at 11,706.65 while the BSE Sensex was up 92.23 points at 39,138.57.

Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 20 were trading in the green, while 30 were in the red.

Shares of YES Bank, Indiabulls Housing Finance, SAIL, IRB Infra Developers, PNB, Vodafone Idea, Indiabulls RE, Tata Motors, JSPL and GMR Infra were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
