Share market update: Media shares advance; DB Corp jumps 5%
The Nifty Media index was trading 0.36 per cent up at 1340.8.

NEW DELHI: Media shares were trading on a positive note on Monday's morning session.
Shares of DB Corp (up 4.99 per cent), Dish TV India (up 1.27 per cent), PVR (up 1.17 per cent), Zee Entertainment (up 0.6 per cent) and Navneet Education Ltd (up 0.33 per cent) were among the top gainers.
While Hathway Cable & Datacom (down 4.92 per cent), TV Today Network (down 0.87 per cent), Inox Leisure (down 0.39 per cent) and Network 18 Fincap (down 0.24 per cent) were the top losers in the index.
The Nifty Media index was trading 0.36 per cent up at 1340.8 around 11:26AM.
Benchmark NSE Nifty50 index was up 116.80 points at 11330.85, while the BSE Sensex was up 365.74 points at 38406.31.
Among the 50 stocks in the Nifty index, 38 were trading in the green, while 12 were in the red.
Shares of YES Bank, Vodafone Idea, BHEL, BEL and Tata Motors were among the most traded shares on the NSE.
