Share market update: Market trades higher; these stocks surge up to 8%
Solid gains by the US stocks in the overnight trade and recovery in Asian markets early Friday helped domestic benchmark indices open with decent gains.

NEW DELHI: Shares of Hathway Cable & Datacom (up 8.19 per cent), Rites (up 7.11 per cent) and Prozone Intu Properties (up 6.78 per cent) surged up to 8 per cent on NSE in morning trade on Friday.
Stocks such as Skipper (up 6.42 per cent), Shrenik (up 6.21 per cent), HDIL (up 6.05 per cent), Renaissance Jewellery (up 6 per cent), Orient Paper (up 5.80 per cent) and Patel Engineering (up 5.08 per cent) jumped up to 6 per cent on NSE.
Domestic equity benchmarks Sensex and Nifty registered a strong opening, with Sensex surging over 280 points and Nifty crossing 11,450.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 71 points up at 11,456, while the BSE Sensex was up 249 points at 37,913 around 09:55 am.
In the Nifty index, 43 stocks were in the green, while 7 were in the red.
Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Indiabulls Housing Finance, ITC, Tata Steel and Vedanta were among the top gainers, while GAIL (India), Bharti Airtel, Tech Mahindra, Bajaj Auto and ONGC were among the top losers in the Nifty pack of stocks.
