Share market update: Market scales record high, but these stocks plunge up to 6%

The NSE Nifty index was trading 17 points up at 11,587, while the BSE Sensex was up 76 points at 38,362 around 09:45 am.

Tata Motors, Indian Oil Corporation, BPCL, Vedanta and Hindalco Industries were among the top losers among the Nifty scrips.
NEW DELHI: Shares of Mahanagar Gas (down 6.37 per cent), Sanwaria Consumer (down 5.64 per cent) and Optiemus Infracom (down 5 per cent) plunged up to 6 per cent on NSE in morning trade on Thursday.

Prime Focus (down 4.40 per cent), Bombay Rayon (down 4.18 per cent), Adani Enterprises (down 3.94 per cent), GTL Infrastructure (down 3.57 per cent), ICICI Lombard General Insurance Company (down 3.54 per cent), Solara Active Pharma Sciences (down 3.54 per cent) and Alok Industries (down 3.53 per cent) declined up to 4 per cent.

Continuing with their record-breaking spree, the domestic benchmark indices Sensex and Nifty scaled fresh lifetime highs of 38,487.63 and 11,620.70, respectively, in the opening deals on Thursday.


The NSE Nifty index was trading 17 points up at 11,587, while the BSE Sensex was up 76 points at 38,362 around 09:45 am.

In the Nifty index, 26 stocks were advancing, while 24 were declining in trade.

Lupin, Cipla, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, HCL Technologies and Bharti Airtel were among the top gainers, while Tata Motors, Indian Oil Corporation, BPCL, Vedanta and Hindalco Industries were among the top losers among the Nifty scrips.
