Share market update: JP Associates, Vaswani Industries among top gainers on BSE
Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 17 shares were trading in the green, while 33 were in the red.

NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 105.32 points down at 40,570.13 on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Shares of Vaswani Ind (up 16.27 per cent) , Ambalal Sarabhai (up 9.41 per cent) , Gennex Labs (up 8.01 per cent) , Donear Ind (up 7.02 per cent) , Porwal Auto Comp (up 5.41 per cent), Sarda Energy (up 5.24 per cent) and Jaiprakash Associates (up 5 per cent) were among the top gainers.
The Nifty 50 index was trading 35.70 points down at 11,958.50.
