Share market update: ITI, MMTC among top gainers on BSE
Among the 50 components in the Nifty index, 7 shares were trading in the green, while 42 were in the red.

NEW DELHI: The domestic equity benchmark BSE Sensex was trading 258.74 points down at 37,193.10 on account of selling in frontline bluechip counters.
Shares of Velan Hotels (up 19.51 per cent) , Lahoti Overseas (up 18.03 per cent) , Indo Us Bio-Tech (up 14.91 per cent) , Rishabh Digha (up 14.07 per cent) , RTS Power (up 13.35 per cent) , Cenlub Ind (up 12.11 per cent) , Bengal Assam (up 11.81 per cent) , Uttam Galva Steel (up 11.56 per cent) , Rama Paper Mill (up 10.83 per cent), Jeevan Scientific Technology (up 10.82 per cent), ITI (up 9.44 per cent) and MMTC (up 5.65 per cent) were among the top performers.
The Nifty 50 index was trading 80.25 points down at 10,965.85.
